Scriptaculous & Macworld
January 14, 2008
So I just dropped about 100 dollars on books today for school, of course that doesn’t really matter now because they’re essential books, and my loan was paying for them so I don’t have to worry about actually paying for them for a while. I finally have my ‘homepage’ to a point of completion that I’m somewhat happy with, but it’s still no where near where I want to it to be. Scriptaculous seems to be giving me more and more troubles each time I use it, it really just makes me want to sit down and write my own framework but I know I don’t have the time to do that right now. Maybe over the break I can get on that. Also as most of you know Macworld is nearly upon us, and as the big day grows closer and closer I seem to become more and more uninterested, I mean I know the conference will be fun, and that I’ll see a lot of cool tech, and hopefully meet some really neat people, but there’s just something unsettling about this, much like CES, or GDC, these conventions are over hyped, I prefer the little ones that seem to skip under the radar, like earlier in the Year, as Linuxworld approached I became more and more excited, finally when the big day hit it was everything that I had dreamed it would be and more. Of course this may just be the youth inside me coming to the realization that I’m just looking to grow up too fast, I spend my free time yearning to attend Confrences and Expos, I mean that’s what most of my corporate life will be spent doing, shouldn’t I be looking forward to a rock concert or some sort of explosion. Oh well. At least I’ll score tons of Swag!
